Free test drives on real roads, right from the show. EVs, plug-in hybrids, trucks, and SUVs from the brands you're considering, with product specialists riding along to answer anything.
10am – 5pm each show day
Street test drives run along the front drive of the San Diego Convention Center. Look for the test drive staging area just outside the main entrance.
Prefer to stay inside? The indoor EV Test Track, powered by LENZ Charging, lets you feel instant electric torque right on the show floor.

Before you drive
- A valid U.S. driver's license is required to drive.
- Minimum driver age varies by manufacturer (shown on each brand below).
- Passengers are welcome within each manufacturer's age rules. Children under 8 or under 65 pounds generally can't ride along, and child safety seats can't be accommodated.
- Drivers and passengers sign a liability waiver and may be asked for contact information for manufacturer follow-up.
- Participants may be asked to pass a breathalyzer test.

Test drives are included with your show ticket. Line up early in the day for the shortest waits, then head inside for the debuts, the EV experiences, and everything else on the floor.
